Exchange/Outlook/Word tips
Grigory
Hi, Grigory here. Yesterday Alex told me about several problems he had in Outlook/Word sending email to a group of contacts. So, I decided to put few tips.
- To attach a file when merging mail in Word use a button with envelope and label icon in Standard toolbar. It is called Email. After you click it the button will show standard email fields and standard email toolbar with Insert File button.
- To quickly send email to a group of contacts just select them and go to menu Action/New Message to Contact or click a button with the same caption in Standard toolbar.
- Outlook is not supposed for creation of a distribution group with complex membership. Use instead feature of Active Directory. It is called Query-Based Distribution Groups. In Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in go to menu New/Query-based Distribution Group.
